Debra Lynn “Debbie” Plese, a resident of Eagle River since 1973, died Monday, Nov. 14, 2016, at Ministry Eagle River Memorial Hospital. She was 55.
She was born May 4, 1961, in Watertown, to Clyde and Judy Rolland.
She was a 1979 graduate of Northland Pines High School in Eagle River.
She married Michael Plese Dec. 10, 1983, in Eagle River.
Mrs. Plese was employed by Hahn Printing for more than 10 years, and most recently by John Reid and Associates for 12 years.
She was the treasurer of the Lower Nine Mile Lake Association.
She was actively involved with Relay For Life and Pop Warner youth football.
Mrs. Plese loved watching her daughter play hockey. She also enjoyed reading, making jewelry and cross-stitching.
She was preceded in death by one son, Michael; her father, Tom McGinnis; one aunt, Pat Sievert; and her grandparents.
Mrs. Plese is survived by her husband, of Eagle River; one daughter, Ali of Madison; her mother, Judy McGinnis of Eagle River; two brothers, Tom (Cathy) McGinnis of Eagle River, and Patrick (Kelly) McGinnis of Chilton; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services and visitation were held Nov. 18 at Gaffney-Busha Funeral Home in Eagle River. Burial was in St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery.
