David Jon Scheskie, of Northbrook, Ill., died Saturday, June 11, 2016, at Evanston Hospital in Illinois. He was 60.
Mr. Scheskie was born Oct. 1, 1955, in Highland Park, Ill., to Arthur and Ruth Scheskie.
He graduated from Deerfield High School in Deerfield, Ill., and attended College of Lake County.
He married Shawn Smith in 1993.
He worked as a painting contractor for many years and most recently at Walgreens.
Mr. Scheskie spent his summers as a youth at the family cabin in Conover. Later in life, he enjoyed spending his free time in the North Woods, hunting, fishing and snowmobiling.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Mr. Scheskie is survived by his mother, Ruth, of Eagle River; one brother, Arthur Jr. (Linda), of St. Cloud, Minn.; and one sister, Bonnie (Rod) Konsler, of Bailey, Colo.
A private family service will be held in Eagle River.
